The Sima & Dylan Pariseau Memorial Foundation
The Story and Legacy of Sima & Dylan
In Memory of Sima & Dylan
Sima & Dylan Pariseau were two vibrant people who should be remembered for not only who they were, but who they still are. To know them is to love them. To know them is to be a better person. To know them is to laugh more, to smile more. To know them is to be just so deeply, truly, lucky. Let us honor Sima & Dylan by carrying their legacy forward and allowing the light of their spirits to guide us toward action. May we all commit to live with an unwavering commitment to doing good; just as they did.
About Sima
At 56, Sima had built a life full of happiness, achievements, and love. She raised two incredible children, her greatest accomplishments. She also traveled, volunteered as a CASA for foster youth, served on the Board of Trustees at St. Gregory’s Armenian Church, worked two jobs she loved, and most proudly, she was a rock to her friends and family members. Most remember Sima by her bright and warm smile, one that was immediately welcoming, even to a stranger. Sima is also remembered by her love to walk and run. Throughout her life, Sima was an avid runner, completing a half marathon with her best friend, and many other races along the way. Even if you didn't know Sima, chances are, you have seen her walking down Main Street, perhaps with an ice cream in hand, her favorite treat. But by far, Sima's favorite thing to do was hike with her children, Dylan and Sophie, and her friends and family.

About Dylan
Dylan, or D, as his closest family and friends refer to him, was a vibrant soul who was taken from this world at too early of an age. Dylan was 27 years old at the time of his passing, with 28 just around the corner. He was the biggest cheerleader for everyone in his life; he was the first to tell you he was proud of you or happy for you, and the first to be right there with you for all your greatest achievements. He was also a cheerleader for those he did not know. When with Dylan, you could almost guarantee that you would have to fend for yourself at some point because he would be striking up an animated conversation with a complete stranger. Like Sima, Dylan lived a life full of love. He fostered lifelong friendships, lived in a city he loved, spent his time enraptured by the sports world - one of his greatest forms of happiness - and found passion in a biochemistry career. Dylan lived a life also full of laughter shown through his humor, impersonations, and knack for quoting movies. Dylan will be remembered for the happiness and great fervor with which he lived his full life.
Understanding The Crisis
1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men aged 18 and older in the US have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime
30% - 60% of intimate partner violence perpetrators also abuse children in the household
1 person dies by suicide in the U.S. about every 11 minutes
90% of people who die by suicide may have experienced symptoms of a mental health disorder, according to interviews with family, friends and medical professionals (also known as psychological autopsy)
